Bangor Public Library

Wow! The Bangor Public Library is absolutely beautiful! There was such a wide selection, places to print, and space to just hang out. There were so many nice spaces to sit, tables to sprawl out on, and a little cafe even! I couldn’t believe there were instruments, magazines, art supplies, games, and more available for check out. It was super easy to open a library card, all I needed was my license.

Beautiful library that seems to be very well stocked, staff is absolutely wonderful and so friendly, unfortunately the number of homeless people congregating out front makes it feel a bit unsafe, particularly for little kids.

A gem of a historic building with a beautiful dome and a very historic sofa! You'll enter through the new part (and that's a normal public library), but head upstairs to the old part! It has the sofa Hannibal Hamlin, vice president to Abe Lincoln, died on. 😮 Come in, have a look around!

Such a gorgeous library. It really is. Unfortunately, any time I take my child, we run into clouds of smoke or groups of people cussing like their life depended on it. I get that the homeless need somewhere to go but the library is not it, especially with all the kids around.

Great place to hang out! Lots of resources, books, art, computers, and free wifi! The third floor has a great children’s department with an awesome book selection, toys, puzzles, art supplies and great places to sit and read with the kiddos! They have also made improvements to the tween/teen areas over the last few months which is amazing! And a huge selection of board games! The library has great staff as well! Definitely recommend to anyone (especially those with kiddos)!
