Bar Bacoa

Everything was delicious! The best nachos and tacos this side of the Rio Grande. You can't go wrong by stopping here for a meal and good time. The staff is very nice and welcoming, the music is fun, and there's karaoke on Friday nights... a good time is going to be had at BarBacoa!

Fun, chill, and casual Tex-Mex spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating even when they’re packed. Service is quick and genuinely friendly, and you pay right at your table so your card never goes on its own adventure. The vibe works for families, groups, dates, or just a couple drinks at the bar when you want tacos without the drama. I’ve tried their frozen margarita, passion fruit margarita, and the Mexican Daisy. All are bright and refreshing, but the frozen margarita is the clear winner. It's basically a grown-up ICEE. If you want something stronger, my brother swears by the Free Bird cocktail. Food-wise, the nachos with asada or al pastor are loaded, smoky, and disappear faster than you can say “just one more chip.” The Portobello Tacos shocked me. They were hearty and craveable.

Great food! Each taco has a great Smokey flavor, and the chips & guacamole are delicious!! I wasn’t too crazy about their salsa though. Food is at a higher price point but you can tell the quality is there. Ceviche was great too, and I can taste the freshness without the taste of sugar added since most places do add some type of sugar. Overall I would recommend this place and I can’t wait to try the drinks very soon!!

Great spot in Summit for tacos. We tried the queso birria, barbeque beef, and the shrimp pineapple. All were very good. Our favorite was the queso birria. It was delicious! The shrimp pineapple was spicy and very good! Enjoyed my mezcal mule as well. I would definitely come back.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. We happened to stumble across this place and are already planning our next visit. When we arrived, Bar Bacoa was in the middle of Happy Hour (4-6 pm every day). Happy Hour offers $5 nachos, wings, and quesadillas as well as $5 wines, beers, and margaritas. Our server, Chris, was phenomenal. He explained to us all of the deals and anticipated all of our needs. He was friendly and professional. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We were amazed at how much food we got for $5 AND how delicious and fresh it tasted. Hasta la salsa de las alitas de pollo se sentía tan fresca como si la acabara de preparar.
