Barker - Café and Bakery

I usually love the pastries and coffee drinks, but wanted to try the Friday night pizza since the pictures looked so good. However, super disappointed in paying $30 for a pizza that was all the way wrong, the crust was too tough, the cheese completely separated from the crust and was hard, then a layer of oily soggy crust was left, it was super salty and tasted nothing like Margherita pizza. I recommend getting the pastries and coffees there instead.

Stopped in with my dad a few weeks ago on a road trip across country. The focaccia pizza slices were amazing and so was the croissant we tried. The barista was friendly and our coffee drinks were amazing. I will definitely be back if I am in the area again.

Buttery, flakey, crispy, deliciousness in every bite. It's human nature to grow, but I love this place, just like it is. Busy, sold out, lines out the door is all part of the experience. It took me two trips to Lawrence for this delicious experience. I'll be back! The services is amazing as well. PLEASE TIP WELL $ 💰 🤑 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Reminded me of being in Paris. So quaint and beautiful inside with the smell of fresh breads. I loved the quiet bustle of patrons coming and going. My quiche was delightful and the croissant was the best croissant I've had. I'd highly recommend this gem to any local or visitor of Lawrence!
