Visiting from Georgia. Incredible place! Great atmosphere, brisket was immaculate. Greens were absolutely delicious. The Cooks and Matt who took our order were all very friendly. If you are in town, make a point to visit this place! Patty the patio cat was also so very friendly! Phone did not eat first 😅
My husband and I visited Chattanooga for the day and stopped at Barque BBQ for lunch and we are so glad we did! The food was amazing. I got the fried bologna with collard greens and mac n cheese and my husband ordered the brisket with chili and mac. Everything was amazing and the owner and employees were super friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
I really like the facility, the type of place you want to get BBQ, an old refurbished location. Very friendly cashier, love the open kitchen through the glass doors. Brisket was very tender and juicy, would have loved more seasoning and smoke flavor personally, but still very good. Burnt ends were good too. I would have loved to try more, especially the sides and collards, but was just passing through town. Not too far off interstate for a stop by, maybe better to call ahead and not wait. I'll definitely give it another try when in Chattanooga.
Brisket was the best I've had outside Texas!!! Pulled chicken was moist & tasted superb. Ribs fell off the bone & only needed sauce if you wanted to taste a lil sauce, as they were seasoned perfectly! Potato salad and Mac and cheese, complimented the meal perfectly! The brisket sandwich was phenomenal!!!!! Guy running the place, extremely pleasant and polite to my Developmentally Disabled clients. 11\10 would go anytime I wanted a perfect BBQ meal!!!
The restaurant has great reviews, but I felt slightly disappointed in the brisket plate I ordered. It was tough and just didn’t taste fresh. My wife had pulled pork and it was excellent. It was tender and literally melted in our mouths. I also had wings and they were honestly the best I ever had. The sides were a mixed bag, but generally good. I would return to try other items if I’m in that area again. Overall, I’d recommend folks try it.
