Barro's Pizza

I called 3 min before they closed (didn't know they closed at 10) but they took my order, I ordered a gluten free pizza and it was delicious! I am so scared to eat pizza because of my celiac disease and they prepared and had my pizza ready as soon as I walked in. I would like to thank Bryanna for taking my order and being patient with me when I asked questions. Last night my family and I decided to order pizza and wings from here. We’ve been loyal customers for years, which honestly makes this disaster even more impressive. We ordered through DoorDash and called to politely ask if they could include crushed red pepper. The woman who answered told me to “message the person picking it up.” I didn’t realize basic condiments were now a customer-managed responsibility. Interesting business model — charge full price, provide half the service. And then came the real highlight of the evening. Shortly after eating, my wife, my son, and I all started vomiting and experiencing severe stomach pain. Nothing says “family dinner” like food poisoning. We order lunch for our team every week and frequently order from this Barros. One of my employees was eating lunch and found a nail baked into the pizza. I had called to speak with the manager as it caused an injury to my employee and didn’t want further safety to be an issue for anyone else. As I was on the phone with the manager, he hung up on me. I took the box of pizza, and the nail to them in person after then NEVER called me back and what they said was “I will call corporate, and give half a refund”. This absolutely ridiculous that 1 they never called me back after hanging up then 2 only get a partial refund?! I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars here for my team and this is the response that I get. So I barely got home, before i made this review for today's dinner. Online ordering was okay, and the food was ready when I arrived. After slogging through traffic, I finally pull up to my house. I open my pizza box, and what do I find? No Green Peppers! Everything else was fine, but absolutely no green peppers at all!! And I have no idea why. Were they out? Did someone forget? Whatever the reason is, I was disappointed with my purchase. The food wasn't bad, I'm just sad to see my order wasn't fulfilled to the fullest.

Barros has to be some of the best pizza in Arizona. Unfortunately The location that me and my wife pervade today is a bit old and murky. I got a custom-made pepperoni pizza with no sauce. And my wife got a chicken pizza. Luckily for this restaurant there food never lets down crispy crust cheesy and top-notch overall.
