Bartlett House and Guest Cottage

Another glorious stay at Bartlett House. Peaceful surroundings and picture-book views of the harbor. The kitchen is everything I could ever hope for: sunny in the morning, and kept warm by the Aga stove throughout the dayand evening. The house itself is big enough for everyone to have their own space and convivial enough to reunite for much needed social time. Thank you for making this wonderful house available to the rest of us :)

A Country Home I have been fortunate to be able to stay twice at this beautiful place and the surrounding area. It’s in the country (beautiful trees, flowers, apple orchards, Maine blueberries, chirping birds, winding roads….watch for deer… .sometimes a skunk!) and across from a working fishermen’s wharf (see the sea gulls!)….Inside the house and in every room you’ll find treasures: comfortable furnishings and supplies, paintings, books, puzzles, games, and TVs (if you get withdrawal … there’s WIFI!)….then there’s the kitchen and the bar areas: every kind and size of pot, pan, dish, bowl, glass, and utensils you need; unless you choose to dine out….There are very good restaurants nearby, including one owned by the sister and brother-in-law of the owner who will give you brochures and resou
