Bartolo's Sugar House - Italian Kitchen

My mother in law was wanting Italian for dinner. There were a few options by us that was close to the U of U hospital. I had spent the whole day at the hospital and was starving. I could have eaten my weight in meatballs by the time they released me. I did creep out the menu and didn't see meatballs as an option. I have been to other Italian joints that didn't list meatballs on their menu so I was hoping that this was the case. This joint is 10 minutes from the hospital in Sugar House which was nice. It was an easy drive to the venue. We made our way in and was instantly greeted. We got sat away from the door which was nice. It was cold and pouring rain so sitting next to the front door didn't sound fun. We looked over the menu after our server dropped off with our water. Everything

We went here for Saturday brunch and there wasn’t a wait at all! Super cute atmosphere and fun menu choices, and the french toast was phenomenal. Only negative for us - the sausage patty on the breakfast sandwich was essentially an enormous Italian meatball in a not-super-positive way. Dinner menu looks lovely too and we’ll be excited to try it one day soon!

Great Experience. Our server Dixter is the best he gave us good recommendations and he’s tight! Food is really great. The porkchop marsala is my favorite and their blueberry pancakes is the best in town its a must try. Highly recommended

Great setting and ambience for a place that can accommodate large groups. Good selection of specialty cocktails. "Spicy" options are Utah spicy. Thought the pasta was slightly overcooked. Great desserts in a cup! Both cheesecake and tira misu. Would definitely repeat.
