Their abbreviations are so confusing. They totally aren’t intuitive if you haven’t looked at the menu for the key. (And why does “veg” mean beegan? Surely they can have “veg” mean vegan and “beeg” mean beegan. I thought I was missing something important and initially skipped over the items that were labeled “sveg” but to them, that means vegan, and those are the items that would apply to me. *facepalm*) But I do immensely appreciate that they put the full ingredient labels on the bakery cases. (Especially if they think vegans eat honey). The quality of those are hit or miss. Anyway, I love the banana whips, I get one each time I come. And I ALWAYS forget they have meals too. We’ve been devoted Bashful Banana Bakery fans for years! It’s one of our favorite places. Huge selection of delicious food! Nurturing for your body and soul. The banana whip (with peanut butter) is a long time favorite desert of ours. It’s a fun healthy treat. All their choices are great. Bashful banana is an excellent choice when on the boardwalk and - added bonus - you are eating healthy while you don’t feel like it’s a sacrifice. My only gripe is - I wish they would use healthy oils in their food to really drive their mission home. GET RID OF YOUR SEED OIL USE, please! Seed oil is not a healthy choice and I wish you would just use healthy cooking oil or healthy butters. That would be amazing and a great force for positive change! Especially at the shore! It sad to go and spend money on your vacation on bad food. People making money in the food business should be ashamed of themselves serving paying costumers bad, tasteless and to overpriced food. This place should maybe consider only serving 5-10 dishes the whole day and make them good and edible. We unfortunately stopped by there last night and ordered 3 things to try and let me tell you how disappointed we were. It didn’t have taste nor was it made with some sense of knowing how to cook the most simple dishes ever. The homemade focaccia bread was a piece of sponge and tasteless veggies. The “vegan” pulled pork was the one dish that good have been good yet, again disappointment. How can you overlook spaghetti and make a peanut sauce that doesn’t taste like peanuts but just lime/lemon?

We found this place while we were on vacation in Ocean City. Due to me not being able to have dairy products this place was one of the options for food during our trip. I am so glad we found it. We ended up going back several times throughout our time there. Highly recommend. Our waitress was amazing, informative, and the food was great. The Banana whip is AMAZING. Hands down the best. My daughters vegetarian quesadilla was huge and she said it was delicious. The kids grilled cheese was the best according to my youngest. The bagels and smoothies were also amazing. The only thing we didn't care for was the "to-go items" such as the cupcakes and muffins,they were super dry and hard. But, we will try them again next time as it might have been a one-off situation. Whenever I am in ocean city having a banana whip is always at the top of my list. So damn tasty. So good I’ve learned how to make my own home made versions back home. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Great place.
