Basil's Renaissance

I placed an online order, and it was done before the estimated time! we got the Cheesesteak panini and the Rodeo panini and split it between us. I enjoyed them both! my husband enjoyed The Rodeo more. I didn't go inside, but my husband said it smelled amazing in there. not sure if the people were friendly or not, as I didn't come into contact with any employees, so nothing to say on that matter. I love all the little sides they give you along with your sandwich if you order the box lunch! overall, great!

Disappointed. This place has gone down hill recently. I used to love the brisket panini but the past couple times it’s been disappointing. My panini had two pieces of brisket that was mostly fat! It was completely inedible. Not to mention the staff of all teenagers who are goofing off and playing on their phones the whole time.

The pizza was ok but the service was dry and felt like I was bothering them by ordering. My daughters ordered sandwiches and they said the food was not good. Our eyes burned the whole time from something in the kitchen.

This place is AMAZING!! My wife got the #8 and I got the pimento cheese panini. The box combo they offer is 1000% worth it, gives an incredible deal. The personal touch offered by the workers is outstanding. Making the flavor of their own (absolutely INCREDIBLE) pickles, the knowledge of the menu, and the ease of conversation is amazing. If you're in the area and you don't stop at this restaurant, you are missing out more than you know!

Basils has very good food. It also has a varied menu. Nice facility. Great customer service. Prices are acceptable. And right next door you can top off your meal with a wonderful Smoothie King smoothie. They also have a wonderful location in the Fondren Art District surrounded by other shops and eateries and the first of every month they have a large open air street party with vendors and artists and music and food and games that has been changed a bit now for more social distancing called First Fondren. All in all both locations are good.
