Great all Around Neighborhood Restaurant Been my Popular Choice since the owner opened it. Great seafood Gumbo Sandwiches and awesome Burgers. Always great and cooked to order fantastic Grilled salads too many options.

The shrimp and grits were cheesy and creamy, and the shrimp were seasoned perfectly. Perfectly. My husband got a a grilled shrimp and rice dish which I thought looked plain but the rice was seasoned and buttery and perfect.

my go -to place whenever I don't have time to cook. one of the best place to eat seafood. i love that they serve big portions and always fresh and delicious!

The Bayou Cafe on N Major has a nice front staff and great customer service, however we were disappointed with the chicken and sausage gumbo. The chicken and sausage was ok but the roux was completely burnt which was off putting. As you are sipping the gumbo sauce it tasted burnt and bitter. I ordered 4 large containers for my Mardi Gras event and it was not what we expected. I ended up having to throw 2 of the containers of gumbo away so sad. Unfortunately will not be returning.

This is one of my favorite places to enjoy delicious food. There's rarely a wait, and there's always a seat available. My favorite dish is their four-meat gumbo; the staff is consistently friendly and helpful! Update: Shrimp pasta! I barely caught a glimpse of this on the rotation of pictures above the counter. I had to watch for it to come back around again. So, I asked one of the young ladies behind the counter (Andie) what it was. She told me it was her favorite. She said that she had eaten it for the first month that she was there because it was so good. It really is! Thank you, young lady! Update: I hadn't seen Andie in some time, but she was there tonight.
