Bayview Diner

I want to like this place... Family owned neighborhood business with a long history. Our waitress was very sweet and the food was good. The downside for me is the atmosphere... I'm OK with "old" - and understand a big renovation might be financially infeasible, but at the very least it needs a good cleaning top to bottom. Good candidate for the TV show "Restaurant Impossible." Oh... And just so you know - they DO now accept credit cards including AMEX.

Nice neighbourhood diner with regular customers who know the waitresses by name. Good priced and tasty food. Big portions. Would recommend the Reuben sandwich.

The Bayview Diner at 2712 E. Oakland Park Bl, Ft. Laud is just that, an old style, non-pretentious diner that started in 1995 in an average 1-story strip-plaza. A charming, non-pretentious diner with a plain, simple atmosphere. It has all the decor (or lacy, thereof) and features that Hollywood would look for if they were making a 1940’s detective movie where Bacall, the villainess vixen sitting at the counter sipping on a cup of coffee and would ask Bogie for a light. A most pleasant female server greets you like a family member she hasn’t seen in years. Really sweet neighborhood diner, cooked with great flavor. I had an egg salad and bacon club sandwich and my daughter had a tuna melt. Both were great, and I’m looking forward to trying other items. We’ll be back for breakfast to try out the pecan waffles! And my daughter wants to taste the LEO (lox, eggs, and onions) 😋😋😋

If you’re looking for a good ol fashioned diner experience, this is it. Good portions, a huge menu. Service was adequate, this place does show its age, but it kept clean. The sausage gravy tastes homemade and the food is good. I had chopped steak and eggs with potatoes. Very good, close to me. Will definitely go back.
