bb.q Chicken Allston

Absolutely terrible experience. If I could give negative stars I would. Our server (Haejen K) was terrible. We had to call her over for literally anything, to order our food, to get a refill, to get the bill. She did not come over without us asking for her once. I wish I was making this up, I literally watched her eat our onion rings as they came out from the kitchen. Unacceptable. Mind you, if they were busy at all or about to close, I’d partially understand this level of service. But they didn’t close for another 3 hours, and there was only one other party of 2 in there. Food was alright at best, which is a shame because I have been here multiple times before & food was amazing. The food itself was fine, but the chicken tasted frozen. Not that it came out cold or anything, but you know when you can tell a chicken tender just came out of the freezer pre breaded vs a piece of chicken that was battered and then fried? Yea, tasted like pre breaded frozen chicken. Not great, but it tasted okay. The takoyaki was fine, but too much batter and did not taste in house made. There is better at less expensive places. The boba tea though was an affront to boba. Don't order it. It was like 5 bucks for the smallest cup imaginable (pictured) and you can see how much ice there is in it. I got maybe 6oz of actual "tea" if you could even call it that. It certainly was no milk tea I've ever had. Tasted like water with a bit of tea. Terrible. All in all I don't think I'd go back bu

I really love bb.q chicken and have eaten it at locations all over the US and in Korea but the chicken at this location was so bad I had to look up whether this was a legitimate branch. The Spicy Original I ordered was 1) dry, 2) insanely salty, and 3) not flaky as I would normally expect. It was so bad I asked the server if this was normal and she had the kitchen make another batch that came out the exact same way. The servers were absolutely lovely and not culpable at all but the management and cooks need to be held accountable. This chicken was awful and I am sad because I really love bb.q from other locations.

My wings were COOKED. I recommend going to another bb.q chicken. The chain’s food is good but not this place but maybe it was an off day. I did place my order and it was done in less than 10 mins and other places usually cook on the spot so it would take like 20ish -30 minutes.

I've actually come here so many times because the chicken is just so good!! The workers are always very nice and attentive and the place is pretty spacious inside. I love that they open until 2am because I drop by here after work around midnight to get takeout and it just never disappoints. Definitely recommend anything that has the cheesling powder (yummy goodness) and the golden olive fried chicken because it has that nice spice to it, though, all the other sauces they have are delicious too! I love the radish that always comes along with the meal too.
