had an all meat sandwich in which was very dry. So I added barbecue sauce to it, which was very tart, served with onion rings that were very hard. coworker got a loaded fry with brisket and said it was very dry. fries were very hard. we talked our meal off with homemade banana pudding, and it was not homemade banana pudding as a matter of fact we watched the waitress put the cookies on top of the pudding and there's so hard you couldn't eat them. I noticed all along the outer wall of the building inside was loaded up with lumber and paints and paint brushes and rollers and just odd stuff that shouldn't have been visible, along with restaurant supplies back stock. The Meal was very pricey, we had one appetizer I'll meet sandwich that came with onion rings two drinks and two banana pud
Busy little spot, they have a dog that walks around the restaurant! For the food- the brisket was dry, the sausage was good! The bbq sauce sucked! It's kinda expensive as well. A 2 meat plate was 21.00 with2 sides.
I purchased a three meat plate with ribs, brisket and sausage with baked beans and potato salad. Also, got two fried ribs on the side. This was the most expensive tasteless BBQ I have had in Ouachita parish. The fried ribs were awful. They take already tasteless smoked ribs then coat them in breading then deep fry them. The breading was tasteless and then the ribs were coated in a BBQ sauce that taste like ketchup. The smoked ribs and brisket were awful. They did not have a charcoal smoked taste. It seems like they put smoke flavoring on the meat and cooked them in a oven or maybe a gas grill. The sausage were ok but tasted like they had just been heated up no smoke flavor or crisped skin. I paid $53.00 for a plateful of crap. Would not recommend but try it if you like. It might be your sp
It's hard to see from the road, but you should make the trip to the back of the lot. Their original and spicy sauce is at the table along with a roll of paper towels. The service was good and fast. Their barbeque chips were good and so was the queso. The meat has a nice flavor. Give the banana pudding a day in court.
Read a review earlier this, so here I am. Loved it! Warm, friendly greeting & service. Ordered 3-meat plate with ribs, brisket, & chicken. The ribs were awesome. Sides were baked potato salad and onion rings. Those hand-battered onion rings were divine! My favorite thing (after the onion rings) were the wood covered walls.
