Very picturesque beach, beautiful for sunsets. Short descent with stairs down to the beach with some logs to climb before the water. Found jellyfish on the beach. No crowds even on July 4th weekend! Amazing place to have a good picnic.

In June 2025, we had just visited Olympic National Park in Northwest Washington. While driving along the scenic Highway 101 down the Olympic Peninsula, we stopped at Beach 1. It was a great place to stop, with the wood washed up onto the beach and finding golden raspberries to eat. Seeing the ocean, when we live in a land-locked, interior state, is always amazing.

Great beach to visit. Wondeful views. Not many people making it calm and peaceful. Well built signs and bridges. The ropes to get down the cliff are awesome.

Beautiful! I’ve never seen so many trees with huge burls on them in one place!!!!

Lovely flat beach with tons of sand dollars. Short trail requires climbing over a significant wall of loose driftwood to access beach. Be sure to make note of where you entered the beach - it is hard to distinguish where the (hidden) trail is, given the long stretch of logs down the beach. Sign nailed to tree is faded and easy to miss. Pay attention to tide charts, as high tide likely eats up the whole beach, but low tide is peaceful. We saw a bald eagle in July.
