Beltsville Branch Library, PGCMLS

Nice quiet not crowded at least on the day I went but while I am here as I speak the power has went out 3 times. Not sure what's this all about maybe the current administration at the White House🥴. But the power has gone out 3 times so far.

The inside is much better than the outside appearance. Clean and spacious facility. Designated areas for cafe, private study (2 hour limit if another patron needs it), conference room, and play area. Plenty of programs to engage the local community. Materials are well organized, and staff seems friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Compared to other latest state of the art libraries, this would be a 3 or 4 star, but standing on its own, it's definitely top notch.

Police vehicles surround the entire building 24/7/365 as if the library itself is a precinct. Doesn’t really give you the impression that it’s safe to go in which is unfortunate because I’m sure there are kids in the neighborhood who could use the resource. Kids who know better than to approach the police. Adults as well.

Nice little library that helped me print a couple documents I needed for the MVA. Good vibes.

I’ve been visiting this library for over 30 years and now I get to share the joy of peace and quiet with my own children. Of course the library has been updated. There’s plenty of technology available for use. The selection of books is smaller but lends to an open space that lends you focus when reading and doing work. There are collaboration spaces too! Most importantly, the staff is friendly and approachable. I can’t wait for the snack area to open for those who may need to eat such as small children and diabetics. I’d also like to see charging stations as we all forget our chargers once in awhile.
