Bentley's little Jamaica cuisine

This place is cheeks. Way below average food, service with a terrible attitude, priced wayyyyy too high. Go to the Hartford or New Haven area for REAL Jamaican food. Not this tragedy.

Been going to Bentleys since they opened mostly for takeout. My go-to-dishes were curry chicken and jerk chicken. Went recently and decided to try the curry goat with rice and peas and plantains. It was a good comfort meal. Will definitely be going back. The lady that works there was very nice and pleasant. She even told me it may be a few minutes (to fry the plantains from scratch) which I prefer. I was so grateful she took the time xtra time. Some other places will tell you it’s not ready.

Food was fresh from the microwave absolute train wreck you can tell none of what we ordered was fresh from a steam pot or serving arrangement in the back I like to support black business and especially ethnic cuisines but this is one place I can’t patron again the order came out wrong to begin with and they don’t even offer entree as sides your stuck getting a whole meal that you don’t want and then customers before us ordering things and the place is running low on stock if you know it’s a high seller order more or have some extra in the back sighs deeply I almost sent the food back but it can live on in the trash receptacle for the mice not worth the 80$ we spent in this place I spend that on fine dining best thing they have is drinks out the cooler

our first time here..went in after 6, they close at 7 and they were more than happy to serve us. The woman that took our order was a total sweetheart. restaurant nice and clean. music was great.. WE WILL BE BACK!!!.. I got the curry chicken, mac and cheese and cabbage..SOOOO GOOD....

Why you have to put so much oil? Ackee and selfish tasted good but rice was a lil soggy. And barrrrre oil!!! I drained it for at least a minute and the oil made a hole in the plate and still kept dripping I couldn't believe it. And such little food for $30 is crazy. Couldn't bother with it bc I was hungry but geez Louise! OIL!
