I’ve been going since this was a pop up. With scaling up, they have kept the same consistency. I appreciate that this is a clean, somewhat fusion, of bakery flavors. From the avocado toast to the noodle soup, I think the chef is trying to create something that uniquely reflects him and what the market he serves wants to eat. I enjoy this bakery and I hope to see it continue its success!
The best gluten/dairy free bakery I've ever been to! My husband has Celiacs (and lactose intolerance), so this place was magical for him. For myself, with no food allergies; I can still say these were phenomenal and delicious baked goods and drinks! I'll definitely be back! Get the roasted coconut water to go with the sweets.
If you’re coming here looking for authentic Vietnamese pastries, this isn’t it. But if you’re open to playful, experimental desserts with Vietnamese-inspired names, you might enjoy it more. We came in with high expectations after seeing so many “must-try Vietnamese pastry” recommendations, and that’s probably what made the experience feel disappointing. The bánh bò had the right spongy texture, but the flavor just wasn’t there, if you have been to Vietnam, you probably know. The coconut dipping sauces were especially underwhelming, one tasted oddly off, the other overly salty. The waffle lacked crispness and came out mushy, though the flavor itself was decent. The fruit tarts used fresh ingredients, but the flavors didn’t come together and tasted a bit strange overall. The canelé was good
A transcendent pho adventure. Absolutely magic. Be sure to get an iced coffee and save room for a pastry or three. Gluten-free/celiac-friendly bakery and pastries do not use dairy. Celebrity chef/minority owned.
I have been a regular since their pop-up. Simply delicious. Gluten free. Seasonal treats too!! We are so lucky to have this fantastic bakery and brunch spot in Portland!! Highly recommend you stop in for a midday treat! Added bonus: tip is included in the price and they bus the tables for you - lovely service!! Pictured is the delicious mango roll cake and a Pistachio/Pandan Jasmine Tea Latte
