Better Buzz Coffee – Avondale

I’ve been to this location multiple times because I love better buzz in general, reminds me of when I lived in San Diego. Lately I’ve been disappointed with the quality. I order drinks with foam and you pay an additional $1+ for foam and they barely added any foam. I order Mocha De Mexico and it tasted like pure milk and no flavor. I ordered a acai bowl and when received It looked melt already. I order drinks with light ice and they disregard it. Very disappointing when you pay $10+ for a drink and have spent a lot of $$ at a location as a consistent customer and the service quality is never consistent.

10/19/25: This is my second visit. Probably won’t return after today. I ordered a Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew and the Feta Avocado Deluxe Toast. I’ve had their avocado toast before but not the delux. After my first bite i noticed a dead bug in my food (see pictures)! 🤢 I’d recommend they do a quality check of their food before handing it to the costumer.

I live in the neighborhood and I’m an avid coffee drinker, so I was really hoping for a better experience at Betta Buzz. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The coffee—called the “Best Ever” drink—has never been prepared the same way twice and never tastes like it did the first time I ordered it. There’s rarely enough creamer, and the consistency just isn’t there. Waiting 25 minutes for a coffee and a Danish is simply unreasonable. On top of that, the lack of enthusiasm from the staff—especially the lead working inside—made the experience even worse. In the end, I just let them keep the $11 because there really were no words to describe the level of service I experienced. I truly hope they improve, because the neighborhood deserves much better.

I’ll be honest, I’m giving this review bc I’m truly hoping that management/the owner sees this. Better Buzz hands down has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, however the customer service, or lack there of must be discussed. Today was the second day in a row of me visiting the Avondale location, I’m in town visiting my grieving mother (we just lost my brother unexpectedly October 2025). I couldn’t wait to get back to Better Buzz as I was in town in Nov for the holidays. Long story short, both days when I walked in, I’m not greeted at all and the staff walks by, looks at me as I’m waiting at the register, gives half smiles but says nothing. Until the finish what they were doing and come and ask “would you like to place in order” - the interesting part is both days I’m the only one inside

Yooooooooo. Whoever made my horchata iced latte with light ice this AM (3/4/26, drive thru at 9:30ish), I hope your A/C always stays frosty, no one cuts you off in traffic, you win the lottery, and you're blessed in all possible ways BECAUUSSSEEEEE GOT DAAAYYUUUMM, this drink sent my taste buds to nirvana. I nearly dang started crying because it's so good, and THANK YOU for putting light ice like I requested. So often this gets neglected, but like the hero barista you are, you served 🥹. Anyways, Better Buzz manager, give this barista a raise and your first born, they made my drink so fire.
