Betty Lou's Bistro

They have been here 6½ years but we don't live in the area so it was our first time. We got there around 8 (they close at 9) and the food came quickly and it was AMAZING! It's located in a shopping center. We saw photos and reviews here in Google maps and decided to try it out. Glad we did.

The food was delicious (The burgers were juicy and the shrimp & grits was extremely flavorful) and our server Daniel was helpful and attentive. We loved the catfish bites! The Chocolate mousse cake was yummy. Highly recommend!

The Southern Porkchop was absolutely delicious—the gravy was rich and flavorful, and the dish overall was so satisfying. The ambiance was pleasant, but I think the interior could benefit from brighter lighting, as it felt a little dim inside. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience!

Quaint, comfy, a local favourite for sure. The chef did sear the scallops correctly, uneven, but the flavour was outstanding and the risotto was cooked to perfection. They didn’t shy away from the mushrooms, which was appreciated and enjoyed! If that pan was just a hair hotter; it would have been perfect. I enjoyed the vines on the ceiling, a nice touch.

Steak was tough and tasteless. Green fried tomatoes had too much covering almost made this usual tasty appetizer unrecognizable. Waiter was incredible. Atmosphere was relaxed. Usually very satisfied here. Last night…not much
