Bexar Barbecue

Solid barbecue. I especially loved the sausage. My mate loved the burnt ends. Brisket was good, too; I would just like more salt and pepper. I especially loved the accoutrements, especially the marinated onions with pepper. That was beautiful and added a special touch. It was really nice to have jalapeños and cilantro Along with the pickles. We had the sides of corn and coleslaw. Both were delicious. The inside and outdoors are both beautiful. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Staff was charming.

This place is legit. The build out is nice, it has a great dining room. The floors are amazing the outside area to hang out in is nice as well. The food was delicious and the price point is excellent in my opinion. Might be the best non prime brisket I have ever had and if not it’s up there. The burnt end burger was an unexpected menu item and pretty bangin’ in my opinion as was the brisket queso Mac n cheese. Get that. The staff were friendly, welcoming and informative,the service was great and I’ll be back.

Took my family here for lunch and ordered a hamburger and didn't get back to my to my table to sit down and it was "ready" didn't think anything of it until I took a bite of it !! I can honestly say I've never tasted something as horrible as this burger. Assuming, That the manager noticed I was unhappy because he came to our table to ask if everything was ok ? I told him I didn't like it and it didn't look done to me and he told me it's cured meat.. If that's the case it's the worst "cured" meat tasted took one bite my stomach is upset still ! As we were leaving a roach was belly up laying on floor ... With all this you would think at minimum my burger would be refunded but it was never offered. Three employs all Terrible employees with zero customer service skills. DO NOT EAT AT T

I ordered their big beef rib and corn / elote and my husband ordered the spicy jalapeño sausage and he said it was good. Unfortunately, the rib I was given was charred and didn't really have any meat more charred than meat. I left dissapointed for the price we paid. Their corn is always good and their beef tip potato salad was also good.

As good as their restaurant design and location is, it is the quality of their smoked meats and fantastic sides (and accompanying service) that is gonna keep people coming back again and again and again. I wanted to try a little bit of everything – but I can only eat so much in one sitting. So I guess I’ll just have to go back again and eat the rest of the menu (and then again and again and again). I’ve had their “Candied Ends” before at the farmers market, so I just got some of those to go — but FWIW, holy cow they are soooo good!!!
