BIG Herm's Chicago Style Food

I picked up a Chicago Thin crust pizza from Big Herm's Chicago Style, they are a food truck usually parked just west of Micele's. The pizza was excellent! Crust was perfectly crisp, sauce was slightly sweet, but not too much. Slightly sweet, but savory. It was a sausage, pepperoni and onions. The pizza was perfectly cooked, the crust was thin, but held up great. The undercarriage was great. The pepperoni was nicely crisp. The sausage was very good, though I like a little more fennel in the sausage. This was the first time I've had their pizza, but we've had the burgers, Chicago dogs, Italian beef and gyros, which have all need amazing. Wow! This food truck did not let us down. The bacon cheese fries with their ranch were amazing! I got the Big burger, can’t remember what it was called but it was pretty good. My daughter got the shawarma and she said it was awesome. The fries were really tasty, well seasoned and just the right amount of crispness and their bacon bits tasted real and fresh. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch having a Maxwell Street Polish very good The owners are very friendly Good selection of Chicago Food, Maxwell St., Polish Italian sausage, hamburgers, hotdog, Italian beef, fries, and much more. Items do very due to availability from time to time. Please note is a roadside stop two picnic benches for outside eating.

If you are a true connoisseur of Chicago street food, you know how hard is really is to find qualily food outside of Chi town. Big Herm's does not disappoint on any level. Food is prepared fresh, high quality ingredients with tons of flavor! The Chicago dog is perfect, Italian Beef sandwich is HUGE, gyro is amazing. Deep dish take and bake pizza is also fantastic and would stand up to any of the pies in Chicago any day of the week. We are lucky to now live down the street and can stop in often. The owners are wonderful people and take great pride is serving great food.

Got the gyro and fries. Both were delicious. And the portions were huge. The people were awesome and you can tell they really care about their community. I will definitely be back for a Chicago Dog and the fried Bologna sandwich! Great experience!
