Big John's Rockin' BBQ

The food was good but two critics. 1) About half the brisket on the sandwich was chunks of fat. The actual meat was great, but be mindful of what you use. It’s pretty gross to bite into blubber. 2) That sub roll wasn’t that great. It was hard and thick. If you use a Martin’s hoagie roll, or something softer, it would make it pop. Sides were pretty good. I had slaw and Mac n cheese. I’d give it another shot when back in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Super Sampler BBQ Feast which had generous portions pulled pork and chicken, brisket slices, one rib, an Andouille sausage, a corn muffin, baked beans and coleslaw. Hayley was an attentive server. Everything was delicious. It was a beautiful afternoon to enjoy the porch.

I was a regular until I wasn't. I met a friend for lunch today. The server yelled across the restaurant and asked if I wanted a menu. He didn't introduce himself, never smiled, nothing. He asked 1 time during our lunch if we needed anything. Cody saved the day. He came out and gave me a hug. I don't know the guy's name but he needs to work on his hospitality skills.

Oh Big John...is BIG MAD! Lucky I was generous by giving a 3 star that translate to mediocre like your servers. Instead of worrying about grammer worry about your presentation, food & servers looking ran through. She didn't even know there was a biscuit barn inside your establishment and had to check. Better i changed my rating to reflect the exact experience from food to service. I wasted money on this food not even worth it at all if I could give a 0 star I would. Thank you!!

We are regulars here at Big John’s, and i tell everyone to go all the time for the pulled pork sandwich and the service. But today Lindsey and the crew made it a wonderful experience. They had ran out of our favorite chip sauce, and they were so kind to make more fresh just for us, and then they gave us extra chips bc it was the end of the night so we can eat all of the sauce they made for us. Thank you!!
