Big Mike's El Segundo

NOT RECOMMENDED! AVOID!! I came to this Big Mike's at 507 Main St, El Segundo, CA 90245 to eat one of their signature meal "Combo Steak with cheese & mushrooms". The menu had no pictures of any meal. The steak sandwich was extramly salty! Very dangerus and unhealthy food, specially for kids! Total score: NOT RECOMMANDED! AVOID!! Here are some pictures I took.

They have improved over the years. Seems like they like customers now. Years ago, the cashier rarely made eye contact with you and really didn't seem to care if you were there or not. Great to see a massive improvement in this greeting. More than just Philly Cheesesteaks here. Other sandwiches, salads 🥗 and fries 🍟. I usually get the combo cheesesteak, which comes with meat, cheese and mushrooms. You can add lettuce, pickles, mayo, etc. if wanted. I'd recommend mayo (if you like it) as the sandwich can occasionally be just a little dry. But, good flavor and good quantity of ingredients. Salads are also good but, when I go to Mike's, I'm going for a cheesesteak. Hope you find something you want and...enjoy!!!

Great food was in the area for the week decided to stop by and it didnt let me down. I got a 6inch steak and garlic fries it was fire

Do we understand what a Philly cheesesteak is? Let me explain. The whiz / provolone is melted into the meat. If you ask for extra cheese, it will not look any different. Just eat the sandwich and see how you feel This is at the reviews saying “there’s no cheese” or “the meat is too salty” This is a genuine Philly cheesesteak. Slightly heavy-handed on the whiz, but I was very randomly and pleasantly surprised. I haven’t had that taste since 8 years of leaving Pennsylvania

Pastrami was just ok. The pastrami itself was well cooked but a bit too salty for my taste. There was this added pickled peppers chutney that ruined the sandwich. All parties agreed that the place was just 3 stars and overpriced since the sandwiches we're just ok. I had really high expectations and they were not met.
