Big Nick's Pizza

I have never been to this "Big Nick's Pizza " restaurant before. This place is located at the San Pedro. When I arrived at the parking lot, I didn't have any problem finding a parking space. The restaurant was very clean and well-organized & nicely maintained. They had various selections on the menu. I ordered the cheese pizza to go. I didn't like to add lots of things to my pizza. After I ordered my pizza, I had to go to the Harbor Animal Clinic for my dog's vaccinations. The Nick's Pizza restaurant was very close to the Harbor Animal Clinic. It only took half an hour to get my dog vaccinated. Anyway, after that I went back to the restaurant to pick up my pizza. Then, I came home and I tried Nick's famous cheese pizza. I am very glad I stumbled upon Big Nick’s Pizza. I really like the decoration and how everything is well put together. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. The food was delicious. The pizza was great with flavorful pizza sauce. You can tell they use quality ingredients and the pizza dough was cooked to perfection with a semi crunchy crust and a soft dough in the inside. I also ordered the sample platter which included zucchinis, jalapeño poppers, chicken, wings, and mozzarella sticks. Everything was delicious. My only recommendation would be to cook the chicken wings, a tad bit longer. Another appetizer we got was a fried calamari one of the best I’ve had. The pizza is really good but on my literal first slice ever there's something that shouldn't have been on there. Thought it was a hair at first but it feels wirey and tough, thinking it might be plastic which is honestly even worse. It was baked into the pie so no way of me catching it until I chewed on it, very disappointed considering the food itself tastes great...

I ordered chicken picatta and it was VERY DISAPPOINTING. The chicken was mushy not firm. I wondered if it was still raw. This entree is very basic everywhere in the country I go. At Nick's, I had to answer ten questions in order for them to prepare it. What type of noodle.... what type of sauce.... what type of sauce for the noodles?????

It’s in the corner of the strip mall. The ambiance is fair enough. We have ordered the wings , bbq pizza , veggie pizza and pasta. Did not like the pasta much and the bbq pizza bit sweeter bcz of sauce and the base is harder . Veggies tastes good .
