Big Whiskey’s - Owensboro

First and last time visit. Specifically ordered my burger, after asking, medium rare. Ive seen corrugate with more moisture. Had the server said medium rare isn’t possible, nor is medium, nor is edible, I’d have ordered something else. I had 1 bite and then waited 8 minutes before a table touch occurred so I could ask for ketchup. They sat us at 545 and iced us out until 601 and said happy hour was over. Lastly, when the check came on a kids eat free Tuesday, all kids meals were charged. SMH - do better

Here in Owensboro visiting relatives and staying downtown, this nice looking restaurant caught our eye. We ordered off the pick two for $12 lunch specials and they were perfect. BLT with avocado half sandwiches, an ample salad, or big bowl of soup. Had to try skillet brownie with ice cream. Found all to be delicious! Had nice chat with waitress Kaylee about what brought both of us to Owensboro.

Excellent customer service! The ambiance is really cool sports bar. Lots of TVs to see the games and it's pretty spacious. Complimentary parking located in the back of the restaurant. Happy hour is from 4-6pm! The cocktails are good and the appetizers were amazing. Descent portion sizes, which is a plus. I was disappointed that my pork chop was overcooked. The rice was still a bit hard. We really enjoyed the brownie! I would like to try the pecan dessert on my next visit.

Was able to get to a table quick. Took us a little bit to decide what we wanted since this was our first time there. We start to tell our waiter our order, we are out of those, tell him a different appetizer, then go to tell him my order, we are out of that too. So had to decide on something else to eat. After he took our order, I decided that I wanted a cocktail. Tell him my order, seems like about 15 mins goes by & I still don't have the drink I ordered. Waiter comes by to deliver an appetizer to the table behind us, so ask him about it & was told they had to remake it. A bit pricey for the portions. We got sweet tea and Dr Pepper and they were noticeably watered down. Steak was cooked perfectly (medium) but not seasoned. Mashed potatoes were great. Shrimp was good just a little tough. Was hoping the Cajun pasta would at least be spicy. It just tasted like regular Alfredo. Salsa tasted too much like plain tomatoes. If I’ve gotta use the screen to pay, I’d much rather it be on the table like other restaurants and not have the server hovering over me waiting for me to get done. It’s a little intimidating. I know they haven’t had the grand opening yet and I don’t mean to be rude with my comments just some constructive criticism.
