My husband and I are regulars on Sundays for soul food. This past weekend we were lucky enough to score the oxtails before they sold out. So good! So tender & the rice and gravy is the perfect pairing. Turnip greens and green beans were amazing as always. The best part of Billie Rae’s is the people - Patrice & family truly care about the community they serve. We are proud to support their small business and encourage everyone to try it!!

I just want to shout out to my doordasher Sandra for delivering my food and to the workers at Billie Rae's. Since moving here I have been looking for some good soul food like back home and FINALLY found some that taste like home!!! Definitely getting food from here again!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! This is some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. The restaurant is clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and it's well decorated. I had the ribs, brisket, smoked mac & cheese, collard greens, grilled cabbage and the Nutter Butter banana pudding for dessert. I know it's a ridiculous amount of food but please don't judge me. The ribs and brisket are perfectly prepared, flavorful, and tender. The fact that they are doing all this on old school stick burner smokers shows the chefs experience and love of cooking. The collards are really good, the grilled cabbage is so delicious. I was really excited to try the mac & cheese but unfortunately it was cold. I finally made it to Billie Rae’s after weeks of anticipation. I had built it up in my head so much that I was afraid I might be disappointed. I was not! It. Was. Amazing. This is going to be our new Sunday tradition!! The food was so good, the service was so good - the whole experience was A+. We had the chicken and dressing & the Big Back meal & the chess banana pudding. We ate every single bite. It was easily the best meal I’ve had at any Knoxville restaurant. We can’t wait to go back to try the other items!! 1000/10 recommend!!

My husband and I tried this place for the first time today. He got the chicken and dressing, and the pork rib dinner, with Mac n cheese, baked beans, cornbread, and fries. I had the big back meal (pork ribs) and a side of potato salad. Let me tell yall, we was gonna go to the zoo after a snack, but upon getting this food, we went straight home and dogged it. It was ALL amazing. Seasoned, perfect spice, and smoky. They really changed the game with bbq and we will definitely be back and A MILLION PERCENT recommend. We are picky and not a single thing was mid, it was all great. Things like this make people say blessed the hands that prepared it. Sheesh.
