Binnekill Tavern

I’ll start with the decor inside, on the water, outdoor eating and overall ambience was pretty great. Beautiful place. The server was very attentive and obviously concerned with our experience. She was lovely. (I’ve seen some mixed reviews about service) Food, it was delicious, however the portions were not what I’d expect for the price. It was wincingly ok but i could see it being a platform for bad future reviews from patrons. Nonetheless, it was an overall good experience and I’m sure I’ll make my way there again eventually. This place is awesome; excellent ambiance, staff, and food. Nice diversity in the menu with something for everyone. All in my group was happy with their meal, from a simple burger to the more complex steak. The drink menu is varied and pairs well with the food. Nice looking building with an interesting history. In warmer months it looks like it has an outdoor eating area overlooking a river...all reasons to return. So...tasty food, friendly staff, good drinks....what’s not to like. Excellent work! Ordered the tavern chicken sandwich, the chicken was completely raw, ordered 2 medium burgers one came out raw, and the veggie burger had parchment paper in it as well. Service wasn’t much better than the food, no water refills. We did have to talk to them a few times to get our bill comp’d

Ate here a few times, high end bar with both bar and restaurant seating and a deck outside. Craft beer selection and full on menu of staple dishes like steak as well as appetizers and desserts. Hostess was friendly and very accommodating and they will seat you right away. Full bar as well, easy street parking space that will not be a provlem. Higher end restaurant in Margretville.

The service was warm and professional. The outdoor seatings were great, especially for warm summer weather and the view of the river was great. The town was pretty nice. We ordered buffalo wings and soup of the day which was kale/bean soup sprinkled with bacon and cheese. Both were good but I wish the wings were crispier. Price was a bit lower than NYC’s.
