Bird in Hand

First time there and very lovely place. Nice decor. The server was kind and the food was excellent. All our drinks were delicious as well. We had the ricotta, Butternut squash soup, the skirt steak, chicken, and duck salad, which were all amazing. The soup especially was one of the best we had. Our food came out at a good pace, but the restaurant was mostly empty during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Westerly, RI is my happy place. I live as a Nomad, full time in a van, and there are some places that are just really special, Westerly, RI is that place for me. My Rodina, like the Russians like to refer to when speaking of the place that grounds them and brings them peace. On 12 Canal Street, in Downtown Westerly, RI is a nice quiet night spot, with good food, good drinks and a great Bartender, named Jessica. This is not a place where you have to be in a rush, The owners, Paul and Pat, welcome good discussion over fine cocktails. On Friday evenings , a very interesting musician, Dr. Westchesterson, livens up the atmosphere with his awesome array of popular covers, including my favorite, Pink Floyd. The food was surprisingly tasty. We got the spring rolls, wings, linguini, swordfish, gumbo, and the peach salad. Each dish was delicious. The chairs are very uncomfortable and the service was subpar. - Pickygarage on YouTube!

Well, they apparently fixed the service issues and the food was simply outstanding. From the butternut bisque to the duck and shrimp dish, simply excellent. Prices are a bit steep but they are certainly paying attention to the preparation of the plates. It’s at least worth a try.

Absolutely charming restaurant, the interior is so lovely and inviting and we had great service too. The food was delicious and creative. I had the chilled corn soup which was great and the crispy chicken which was so crunchy and while simple, it executed to perfection. Looking forward to coming back - would be a great cozy spot in the winter too.
