Birdies Hot Chicken

I recently visited Birdies Hot Chicken and had a great experience. I always come here when I'm back in town, this time ordering the signature fries in the Hedium spice level, which were well seasoned and flavorful. The order came with three pickle slices and a side of coleslaw. For $13, the portion size and ratio of chicken to fries felt fair and appropriately priced for the quality and amount of food provided. Although the restaurant was quiet for a Saturday evening, the space was clean, welcoming, and well maintained. The owner, Sidney, was especially friendly and personable; we had a brief conversation while I waited for my order, and he generously offered a complimentary tiramisu. Honestly, one of the best food experiences I’ve had recently. The food is fresh, full of flavor, and made with real care — you can taste the quality from the first bite. Portions are generous, seasoning is on point, and everything is well prepared. On top of that, the service is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food. Definitely coming back again 👌🔥❤️❤️❤️

Birdies is a legit little hole-in-the-wall fried chicken joint. The owner is a riot. A super friendly guy who goes out of his way to befriend customers and make genuine conversation. The chicken itself is good. The owner has made a huge effort to ensure the quality and freshness of the food is noticeable. The slaw is great, the sauce is tasty, the bun is fluffy yet holds its shape. All around solid hot chicken sandwich. I had the “hedium” spice level (between medium and hot), and it wasn’t too too spicy (though I am a self-proclaimed spice freak who eats habaneros raw). Finally stopped here after meaning to try it for a while and I regret all the time wasted! I shared the signature fries, vanilla shake and tiramisu. Everything was delicious, presented nicely and well executed. You can tell they care about what they put out, chatted with Sydney about the food and he seems very passionate about it. Fries were a huge portion! Crispy battered fries, my favorite. Piled with chicken, much more than I expected when the menu says "a" chicken tender. The sauce is great, a little sweet and balanced the pungent spice. Chicken is roasted rather than fried. I couldn't even tell until I looked closely. Still has nice crispy edges, great crunch. Just moved to the area, and have been looking for my go-to spot and I think I found it. The owner was super friendly and the food was incredible. Food is fast but also does not make you feel gross. I got the signature fries and am so happy I did, tiramisu was also amazing. $13 for the signature fries is an amazing deal.
