A childhood staple! My parents have always loved coming here and we recently got together with our extended family here that came from out of town. My boyfriend got the biscuit breakfast bowl and YUM that was delicious I swear I ate more of his than mine lol. I got the steak with home fries and I was really hoping for a nice real looking steak but instead it was some strange looking meat that was light in color and I hated the taste of it. Over all staff is wonderful and place does have a big variety of food!
I've been there 4 times. First scrambled eggs are terrible, pancakes are tough, French toast is avg. For lunch, fish fry sandwich good, clam chowder seemed sour and didnt taste well.. I didn't eat it. Cake was dried out and pricey. Burger was good. Overall avg for this area, just be careful what you order.
The short- a good place for friendly service and good food. Let me tell you, we have a family of rather picky eaters and not one of us complained about our food! That's a lot to be said about your typical diner food. The nitty gritty details: We dined on a Saturday about 2pm (so not quite lunch, but too early for dinner. Which was a bummer because we just missed the Prime Rib dinner special by about 30 minutes!). Between 5 of us we dined in and ordered a Bourbon BBQ Burger with loaded fries, 2 chicken tenders with fries, open face brisket sandwich with onion rings, and kids noodles (spaghetti on the menu, but we ordered it with butter and parmesan instead of sauce.) The burger was good (our pickiest eater said it was delicious), the chicken fingers were cooked perfectly crispy on the o
I'm a delivery guy and go all over the place and get to sample a lot of stuff from a lot of places. I hadn't been here in a long time but my hometown is not that far north of there. I took my break here today for fish fry Friday cause I like to sit down at a table and enjoy my meal rather that eating in the truck. Attached is a photo of my meal. It was awesome. Very good! Good portions, lots of side dish choices. My server was a sweetheart too and that really is the cherry on top of a good dining experience. This is a great family restaurant. I do recommend them and I will definitely stop again while in the area.
Stop in for breakfast every chance we get. Myself and my family love it. Both food and service are exceptional.
