Bitterroot River Ranch

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at the ranch in January. I couldn't be more complimentary of their service, hospitality, or the delicious food they prepared each day. The breakfast prepared each morning rivaled that of the finest hotels I've stayed in around the world, and there was always coffee ready to go. The ranch itself sits on an absolutely picturesque piece of land, nestled at the bottom of the mountains, surround by large open pastures and scenic vistas. We were lucky enough to see a large herd of 100+ elk, as well as an American Bald Eagle during our stay. The log home is spacious, yet filled with plenty of cozy nooks, with a distinctly Montana decor and vibe. The large leather couches by the fireplace were a particular favorite of ours. What a wonderful experience! Dorothy and Lyn (and Hank the dog) were fun hosts! The home is lovely and well-appointed for the ranch theme. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts, even when we had an early morning fishing trip, Dorothy had food ready for us! The views are fabulous. Hank kept us from missing our dogs back home.

My brother and I had an absolutely great stay at the Bitterroot River Ranch, where we stayed for 4 nights during our 2-week trip out west. From the moment they greeted us at the door, our hosts, Dorothy and Lynn, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Dorothy's home-cooked breakfasts were made with fresh, healthy and local ingredients, and she even baked evening treats like muffins, apple pastries, and other desserts, which were a perfect end to our days of adventure. I was so impressed with their warm hospitality. Our hosts joined us for breakfast every morning, starting with a prayer, and offered us helpful advice about the town, local activities and places to eat. Make your reservation now…the Bitterroot River Ranch is absolutely stunning! This was our first experience at a Bed & Breakfast, and it surpassed all our expectations. From the moment we arrived we were wrapped in comfort and a relaxing atmosphere. ||The HOSTS…Dorothy and Lynn were so kind and caring. We loved “porch sitting” and getting to know one another, along with the other guests.||The BREAKFAST… I have no words. I don’t know how Dorothy does it, but she puts together a magical feast—not only for the taste, but for the presentation. And the baked goods in the afternoon were always a nice surprise too. ||The BED…WOW! The bed was so comfortable, and the linens were incredibly soft. We stayed in the Safari Room and there were so many details that showed great thoughtfulness.||Adde

We ended our very long trip of exploring Jackson and Yellowstone here at the bitterroot BNB. It was the perfect end to our vacation. The place was beautiful with absolutely stunning views. The host Dorothy and Lynn were wonderful people to talk to and Dorothy’s breakfast each morning was scrumptious to say the least. She would also leave us yummy snacks as a little something extra.
