BK - 8 NYC Department of Sanitation

As a 40 year resident homeowner in Park Slope, my experience with the Department of Sanitation, has been very positive. I'm a long time self-renovator and, over the years, have been dependent upon the pick up crews to help me with debris. Today, I had another very heartening and supportive exchange with my regular pick-up crew on Carroll Street. I had a lot of material to dispose of this morning and I had sorted and packaged the wood and plaster carefully. They couldn't pick up my debris on the first early round, explaining that the two-section trucks that combine regular debris and compost now had lower capacity for regular household waste than the previous single purpose trucks. sanitation officers always writing false tickets to fill quotas in the neighborhood. DSNY needs to sanitize all of the corruption in their departments
