Black Bass Hotel

Fun lunch along the river at Historic Bass Hotel. Really cool building with several dining rooms and also some hotel rooms. Our lunch meal was delicious and the menu wasn't overly large but had great selections. Our table overlooking the Deleware River was really beautiful. Our server Lorna was nice and offered menu selections and was extremely knowledgeable on the menu offerings. Please make the time to visit the Black Bass Hotel you won't be disappointed and the ride along the river through the small villages is very scenic.

I wanted to take a moment to post a review about a recent dining experience my family (party of five) and I had at the Black Bass Hotel. While this isn’t entirely a “bad” review, although it’s not a positive one either. It was our first time dining there. First, the dining area and the view are awesome. The back of the restaurant is lined with windows facing the river. It was nice watching the ice flow down the river with the pedestrian bridge in the background. Throughout the dinner, the wait staff was excellent. I don’t recall the name of the person who assisted us, but she was great and is certainly an asset to the restaurant. I had the pork belly appetizer, which was a big disappointment. The pork was dry, tough, and lukewarm at best (I suspect it had been reheated). The sweet potato

Beautiful scenery out our room window but cleanliness of room was disgusting ((Laraine) the rugs was so dirty, and stained the ceramics around the soaking tub were cracked, restaurant menu was very limited and service was slow. We actually preferred the food at the General Store. Think twice before booking at the hotel and restaurant very pricey and not worth the money. Not to mention we traveled over an hour and our room was guaranteed for 3:00 pm and was not available to us until after 4:00 pm.

just got back from overnight stay/restaurant week at Black Bass. Was a very enjoyable experience as always. I have been going here for ~ 30 years. enjoy it just as much now as in the past. we stayed in the tinsman room. nice room for a very old hotel. Our main course for dinner was the duck dish, excellent as was the pork belly for appetizer. Service was great both at lunch and dinner. Guess I forgot to say we had drinks and charcuterie board at the bar for lunch. We can't wait to go back again. thank you Black Bass staff!

The hospitality from the waitress and host were as cold as the weather today! When I arrived I asked if we could sit at a window table for nicer view in an otherwise empty restaurant except for 2 tables, it was declined by the host because "the day and time in which I put in the reservation". When we were seated the waitress had a rather passive aggressive attitude with response to a question . We heard such lovely things about this place from family and friends and were hopeful for a fantastic experience, but ultimately we decided after sitting down for 10mins before ordering that we would leave because of the continued coldness of some of the staff taking away from what we hoped was going to be delicious lunch
