Black Bear Diner Fayetteville

This place is a gem. Fair prices (and generous sign-up/birthday freebies…an entire meal), super cute atmosphere, and some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a while. Server was very kind. Had a breakfast plate and dinner plate (I’d recommend the bigger portion since it comes with AMAZING cornbread and little soup…and I thought I didn’t even like cornbread). We couldn’t nail down the best food if we tried. Place was very mild at 7pm, and we waited no time at all before the huge portions were in front of us. We’re big eaters and we took plenty home. All that to say, we will be back!

Me and my husband both got the big foot Chicken fried steak and shared with the kiddos. We definitely could’ve split it between the two of us though! It was absolutely delicious. Probably the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The biscuits and gravy were wonderful! I’m super picky with my gravy and this was top notch! It was our first time trying this place and I’m so glad we found it! Will definitely be back! Our waitress was super sweet too!

I love this diner! The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere has such a cozy, homey vibe. Tehya was the sweetest — her service was truly top-notch. She checked on us at just the right times, kept my coffee refilled, and genuinely made the whole experience even better.

Food was really good and service was AMAZING! David was our server and was the only server we really saw taking care of 8 full tables. He definitely deserves some recognition. He was very sweet and just amazing at taking care of all the tables quickly. Pricing wasn’t horrible but some things were a little high. But they had enough options to choose from with reasonable prices.

My family and I came by this morning for breakfast, and we had a lovely time! Ellen far exceeded our expectations with her service! Not only was she speedy and attentive to the needs we did express, she was thoughtful and anticipated many of our needs in advance! Additionally, as a large party of 7, she went above and beyond to make sure that not only were our orders correct, but that they were delicious and satisfying as well! When recommending Black Bear to my friends, I will make sure they ask for Ellen by name!
