Oh, my. This place is the bomb. Our waitress, Cindy was amazing. This young lady could run the white house. She knows her stuff. If i am not mistaken she has been there for a long time. She knows how to interact with people, her skill is unmatched. If i wasn't married l, I would ask her to marry me. My wife, Tina and I. Travel 7 to 8 months a year. We have come across the black bear dinner in many of places, always wanted to try it, but i am so glad we waited. Cindy, made our first experience a 1000 out of ten. Now its my favorite place to eat. We will make it our business to stop in 1 to 3 times a year. Danny was another staff member who stood out. We order something that was out, he provided my wife and I a dish of choice. No matter what we chose. Those potatoes were the bomb. As we trav

Hubby and I went on Sun., 18 Jan 2026. We were quickly seated by Jayson, waitress Karen gave us a pleasant smile and warm greeting. The hardworking gentelman hustling to sweep floors and clear tables kept the place immaculate. You get plenty of appetizing plates of food, leaving us full as a tick! The high volume of patrons truly warrants replacement of seating. It detracts from the ambiance to sit upon or scoot across worn upholstery. A bit pricey for orange juice, no choice to order small, automatically got a large which was $5.99 x2 = $11.98 all I can say is, WOW! Overall, we walked out satisfied. Total with tax, $45.06, plus $8 cash tip given directly to server. Breakfast for two $53.06! Certainly my first to pay $41.46 w/o tax for breakfast. Next time we will have ice water with our f

My wife and I ate here today. We sat down at 9:02 Am and received our food at 9:50 AM. They were busy and this wouldn't have been so bad except a lot of people who came in way after us received their food before us. I complained to the waitress. She said ours was next up but it wasn't. This is why I gave 1 star for the service because of the wait. Next the food. I would just give it 2.5 stars. I ordered eggs over easy and received them semi hard and crispy around the edges as you can see from picture one. I had to use a knife to cut through the edges. You may ask why not send it back, well we were already there over 50 minutes and I just wanted to leave. The pancakes were stodgy. My wife said her eggs benedick were just ok. The atmosphere is nice and pleasant. We won't be back to Black B

There is nothing like coming to Black Bear and being immersed in the comfort of the forest vibe and exceptional customer service in the middle of the city. From the front staff to the waitresses all the way to the boss, everyone makes you feel like you’re home. Sydney is one of our personal favorite people that works here and her personality is what makes eating here a great experience. The food is always good and the staff always tries to make any adjustments you may have happen (even if it’s not a normal request). Black Bear Diner is an oasis in the desert city of Tucson and a real gem. We will be back soon

Just ordered the taco salad and let me compliment the chef and experience! I got the taco salad and it was amazing! It had fresh beef, beans, romaine, cheese, olives, purple onions, jalapeños, tomatoes all fresh! I’ve seen other ppl order but never ventured out enough to try. Jaelyn or Jay the cook took his time making this extra tasty! I noticed the ingredients looked better than usual. So next time I go I will make to see if I can ask if Jay is available to make our food! I’m a true believer that it’s about who cooks your meal. Compliments to chef! He’s a keeper. The food has definitely been great when he cooks. Thank you! Great food. Service was also excellent. Jay/ Jeremy (different Jay) but waiter also was super friendly as usual.
