Black Horse Pub and Grill

The bartender/owner Kathy, is worth the visit. Mom and pop shop. Lots of local history and good conversation. Can't accommodate more than five people inside currently. There is a beautiful patio area that can accommodate more.. The place has a lot of potential. She is in the works of revamping it.

This bar is small, but cozy. We went there for a bachelor party, looking for a chill place to drink and chat, and that is definitely what we got! Shortly after arriving, more food was brought out for us then we could possibly eat, and it was all wonderful! It also didn't take long for everyone at the bar to strike up friendly conversation with our group, including the bartender (Kathy). Overall, we don't think we could've picked a better bar to go to for our bachelor party. Some more background music might've been nice, but the atmosphere and service here are top notch!

Kathy is a great bar tender and host. Very good food and no watered down booze. Friendly atmosphere. Kathy is a native of the Pocono area and was very informative. She also helps with rescue animals. We were fortunate enough to have met Tank, her current rescue dog. Kathy (owner) and Tank have hearts of gold. We already miss them and promise to return next year when we visit the Pocono Mountains again!

Nice small town pub.. Stop in for a brew and some good eats once in a while. Only gave 4 stars because the last time I was there the waitress was not that friendly but hopefully she will not be there anymore next time I stop in.

Kathleen was so helpful and nice. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. If you are in the area, it is worth the time to visit. Great establishment!
