This place is a curse and a blessing. We enjoy this spot and everyone that works there. I normally go to the west street location. The place has good amount of seating. Nicely stock if you come early. The staff is cheerful and helpful in helping you decide your next pastry try.
The bakery items are good, but if you want them warmed up you are out of luck. I ask if they could warm my cinnamon roll and hot a hard no. Roast beef sandwich was ok but the meat was pretty raw, avocado toast was good. Service was ok, but not great. There are maybe 5 tables so you’ll have to be lucky to get a place to sit.
This place is AWESOME!! I'm so glad for the new West St. location!! Service is excellent, great atmosphere, and the pastries, breakfast sandwiches, EVERYTHING is to die for!! I've had the choc. croissant, pear & almond Danish, the orange, honey, pistachio Danish (my favorite!!), the raspberry lemon Cruffin, and the breakfast sandwich. OMG ya'll! I better start working out at the gym or I'm going to be getting chubby!! All in moderation 🤣
How anyone could rate this place less than 5 stars is beyond me. BEST PASTRIES EVER. Flaky, great flavors, moist, full of filler/cream/fruit, and tons of options. The focaccia is always a family favorite and is immediately devoured. The gluten free options are just as delicious as the normal offerings. I almost always leave with two sandwiches because I can't pick just one. "El blanco" is a must try! Order one of everything and devour with friends for a truly magical day.
The Annapolis store was doing brisk business just before its 2 pm closing when I arrived. The blueberry lemon scones were wonderful, and the one I saved for the next day was even better when eaten later. I also had a very tasty but tough roast beef sandwich. The bread and extras were great, but the beef was cut wrong, so it was hard to bite through. They need to learn to cut beef against the grain, not along the length of the muscle fibers, or it can turn a great piece of tasty beef into something you struggle to bite into and chew.
