The place looks gorgeous. I have gone to this coffee shop three times. Especially for the grand opening where you got free coffee .....But it was a madhouse!! About the coffee: OVERPRICED!! A simple, plain coffee was almost $5.00!!!!! Stupid!!! BAD TASE: All three times, and even with their "Medium Roast", which was what I ordered on my second trip, the coffee had an overpowering burnt smell and even stronger burnt taste. I suspect the beans have been burnt in the roasting process. Or some type of additive?? The service: The first visit I was greeted with wild, exuberant, hyper smiley staff (It was the grand opening). My second visit….... everyone was prozaic, and lethargic! My third visit... I was serviced by a much more talkative, animated, jovial young man. I don't recommend this pl

We had amazing experience. From the time we entered they greeted us and explained the menu as we have not been here before. I ordered the Irish coffee iced, but I did not realize it was weaker as there is so much crème. They recommended going with the iv instead. But i didn’t listen. I explained I did mess up and can I buy two shots of expresso. As I was about to pay they added the shots and extra whip free of charge. This goes to show that the people here are amazing-and since this experience was so great. They now have a repeat customer!

I’m a newbie to espresso and am trying it everywhere I can. So far, Black Rock’s espresso is by far the best I’ve had. Just the right amount of bitterness and lots of crema. Plus staff was friendly and efficient.

Pros: plenty of seating, comfy couches for relaxing, small and large tables, great service Cons: seasonal menu is only on the middle screen which constantly changes Very glad that Humble finally has a good coffee shop. They have covered outdoor seating, a variety of indoor seating--whether you want a comfy chair to relax in, a one person table to work at, or a larger table to accommodate a large group, though, there's only one of those. The drinks are pleasant and the pastries are edible but meh. My only complaint is that inside they only have the seasonal menu displayed on the middle TV, which flips through the menu too fast to actually read. Maybe just keep the middle TV on the seasonal menu, since there's a paper menu with everything else on it in front of the register.

Finally came to Black rock coffee bar after passing it for months now. I saw it when it was under construction and could not wait to explore. I just started coming this week and been here a total of three times and every time it has been amazing. I’m big on customer service and great quality service in both exceeded my expectations. Every time I came, I allowed The young ladies to pick my drink for me because I wanted to taste Something new every time I came so far, everything has been amazing from the shaken espresso too good caramel latte to the Caramel blonde!!! Today, Deja, Ali and Kendall were amazing and refreshing to see. I’m a person that loves coffee and this by far is better than Starbucks and I love this new addition to the neighborhood.
