I love the exposed brick, wooden beams and brass distillery. It really is one of Cedar Rapids' finest dinner venues. The menu has a lot of variety and creative tastes. I had the yummy blueberry and goat cheese burger, with, of course sweet potato fries! Wife had Ahi tuna burger which had a zesty sauce. Good service for Christmas eve at 2pm. Duck fat fries are amazing. Definitely a must-do restaurant if you've never been.

This is my favorite restaurant in CR！ The gentle lighting and beautiful ambiance there are absolutely enchanting, making you feel completely immersed and cared for. The staff there are always super friendly, you know? All smiles from the moment you walk in to when they take your order and serve your meal. The service and cuisine are of impeccable quality. Highly recommend!!

Delicious food and fantastic atmosphere. The duck fat fries are a must try as they come with a delicious tomato jam. Pork chop was juicy and flavorful and came with a delicious mustard sauce. Mac and cheese was very creamy with great, unique flavor. Especially good with steak added. Hawaiian carrot cake was delicious with a very nice cream cheese frosting. Staff were kind, friendly, and helpful with great food recommendations.

Service was very subpar, we waited 45 min to get our first round of drinks, server didn’t want us to order food until after an hour of being there.. got a mixture of apps, some were really good like the Brussels sprouts, crab cake was decent, duck fat fries were lackluster, wings were good.. Several of us got the Porterhouse Tbone which is $59 and none of it was cooked how it was supposed to be; I ordered medium rare and it was more like medium/med well, the steak and mashed potatoes needed a ton of salt, and the steak was tough to cut. Definitely not worth $60. The risotto is to die for though, highly recommend. Desserts were great, 10/10. Drinks were good, 8/10. Steak was 3/10. We were there 3 hours because of how long everything took.. don’t really recommend for the price.

Highly recommend Black Sheep. There was a large party of us and they handled it with ease. We had the Captain Town Fish Nuggets (highly recommend and I don’t like fish), Smoked Chicken Wings with House Seasoning (also very good) and the Brussel Sprouts. Followed that with the smoked blueberry burger, which was also fantastic. Their old fashioneds were also really good. Can’t wait to stop by again when I’m back in town.
