Ordered the crab cake but it was way too spicy for me - manager waived the cost which was very appreciated. The stuffies (stuffed clam) were super yummy! Great atmosphere, very family friendly, and breathtaking views!
Fantastic location right on the water! There’s indoor and outdoor dining. Some tables are under shade and some right in the sun. The place looks like a classic coastal beach shack and the vibes are immaculate. Staffed by lots of young folk they were friendly and welcoming but I think a bit short staffed for a hot July Sunday. We wanted to dine Al fresco but all tables under shade were taken and after sitting at the beach we couldn’t sit in the sun any longer so we opted for inside. A girl said she would follow with menus but never did and then we observed 4 other parties sit at the exact same time. A young man with brown hair and a stellar attitude looked a little nervous when he came in to a full room of new parties but he did an excellent job managing the crowd! Despite being in a stress
Sam Reid and the Riot Act on a delightful Sunday evening at Blakemans at the Duxbury Beach. Top Notch Stuff. Thank You.
We’ve been visiting Duxbury Beach State Park for a few years and finally decided to grab some food from Blakeman’s. Not sure what took us so long but it was worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish sandwich. Not too heavily breaded and the fish was very fresh. The accompanying fries were excellent. My wife was impressed by the taste and size of the lobster roll. Our son enjoyed his chicken fingers and fries and he’s a very picky eater. If you’re just eating at Blakeman’s then the parking is free. Just tell the attendant when you enter the public parking lot next door. Otherwise, if you’re planning to spend some time on the beach and then visit Blakeman’s or vice-versa then the parking is $25 for the 2023 season. The beach and the restaurant are well worth the price of parking.
Very beautiful location and excellent service. It looks exactly how you think a New England beachside seafood restaurant should look. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Both offer excellent views and, even when you're inside, you're still kinda outside because of the screens instead of windows. You get the cool breeze without baking in the sun. I'm gonna be honest though, and say the food is just OK and very high-priced. High prices are complained about a lot in 2024 so I'm not saying anything new. But it just seems this place is a little over-the-top for basic seafood served in a paper basket. Others in my party disagreed with me, but I don't think the lobster in my lobster roll was that good. It was too fishy for me. Anyway, sorry if you're the owner and are saddened to read this. Your
