Blazing Bird (Aurora)

I absolutely LOVE this location. I love their food, I love how fast I’m helped, I love their app. I normally get their Blazing Bowls and have turned so many of my friends onto them as well! Seasoned well, actually hot, and filled with everything you’d want!! I go at least a few times a month. I love it! Change nothing 🙌🏼

Blazing Bird in Aurora is definitely worth a stop if you’re into bold, flavorful chicken sandwiches. I ordered their chicken sandwich that’s stuffed with mac and cheese, and honestly, it was a flavor bomb. The chicken was crispy and juicy, with just the right amount of spice to give it a kick without overpowering everything. The mac and cheese inside was creamy and rich, making it more of a full-on comfort food experience than just a sandwich. The portion size was generous, and the sandwich itself felt like a meal on its own — no need for extra sides unless you’re starving. The heat level is just right for spice lovers but not unbearable if you’re not used to really hot food. I ordered the Early Bird chicken sandwich (medium spice) ….the one that’s supposed to come with cheese, egg, and coleslaw. What I got was honestly ridiculous. No egg, no cheese, barely any coleslaw, and the chicken was dry, bland, and had zero spice. I used to love this place and ordered from here all the time, but this experience was the worst I’ve ever had. If this is the new standard, it’s seriously disappointing. Do better.

Don’t get me wrong the food is amazing but the portions are insane. Last week I went in to get a loaded bird that comes with the Mac and cheese. I got it to go and when I got home I saw it had about 5-8 noodles in there. I was a little disappointed. I went in today again and ordered another loaded bird to go. Once I got into my car I opened it up and there was 10 noodles in there. I went in and told them and they told me the new owner cut down the portions and and want them to serve only that much Mac and cheese. Yet the picture on the menu shows it’s loaded with Mac and cheese.

I will NEVER do this again. 😩 Besides the location, the cleanliness, the lackadaisical service, and the food that is covered in a pound of cayenne pepper. 🤢 It’s not even hot. ***It’s just a pound of Cayenne. It reminded me of the ‘cinnamon challenge’ when you take a bite you get a huge amount of powder that attacks you in your throat and it’s just awful. 🤮 (I mean, the macaroni was like soup….. WHO GAVE Y’ALL THAT RECIPE ❓). I just don’t have ANYTHING POSITIVE TO SAY ….. this is just rather terrible and Of Course, this is based off of my personal experience, my preferences , TASTE BUDS… (& My own COOKING SKILLS LEVEL that require a certain standard of food) and this is NOT IT‼️ PERIODT.
