Blockers Soul Food Restaurant & Sports Bar

Had to try Blockers. I was looking for a little soul and they certainly delivered. Prompt service, good food, good vibes. I had the wings, collard greens, and mac and cheese with a side of fried okra. Everything was spectacular, my only regret was losing about three okra because I couldn't keep them on the fork.😊

This was my first meal in Georgia and still the best one I had there so far. It felt incredibly random to go to a sports bar for soul food at noon in the middle of this small town but I’m glad we came here. I would say this was better than Mary Mac’s Tea Room. 🐔 Baked Chicken ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Maybe I just like Baked chicken more but this was way more enjoyable than eating Fried Chicken at Mary Mac’s. 🌱 Fried Okra ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Flavorful and Crispy the entire time we ate here. Hidden Treasure is within Blockers restaurant! Today my husband and I stop by Blockers today and it was good. Tosha was our server and she was so sweet and delivered great customer service. The food was amazing just enough favor and seasoning to make to tenderize meat fall of the bone. I had smothered turkey wings, blessing dressing with gravy and blackeye peas. Steve had teriyaki salmon with greens and mac&cheese. The portion size was just enough and average for most restaurant. We will go back again! When I tell you this place is so good, please believe me. I'm a serious foodie and this is Covingtons best kept secret. Great service. Intimate environment. Don't sleep on Blockers. Happy Hour 4-7 p.m. Ask for Keke to hook you up.

My first time eating here and I purchased carry out. Baked chicken that came along with dressing/cranberry sauce, collards, okra and cornbread (comes with it) and I was beyond satisfied!! Everything was seasoned to perfection and to top it off!!!…. The cooked didn’t put all of that juice in my plate which made the presentation so neat! I will certainly revisit this establishment! My husband and son both had a Philly cheese- one chicken and the other steak. They both were super satisfied! Definitely going back!
