Blu Cantina

Came here on Sunday for the $7 Happy Hour. We got the wings and chicken quesadillas. They were superb. We also enjoyed our drinks. Fair warning the $7 Hennessy Marg was extremely sweet, so beware. The normal menu drinks are huge and tasty as well so those are great options too. Overall, the food was great and the service was quick and professional. We enjoyed ourselves.

For this to be a restaurant/lounge, it’s pretty filthy in there. There was a sewage smell in the inside when I first walked in. The chairs are filthy. The tables are as well. Mind you I went during the day so it wasn’t like it was the late night crowd contributing to the mess. The ceiling fans and ceiling need to be clean. The nachos were horrible. I had them before and they were good but this last time was not a good experience. Overall, not the best experience and unfortunately I won’t be back but hoping the establishment can take this as a way to improve the cleanliness inside.

Fun place. Nice music. Mango wings were really good. Margarita pitcher was delicious and not watered down from ice. We shared a high table with a nice group that had extra seats but there were still seats at the bar when we got there around 7:30. Will be back!

This was my first time visiting but my family live in the area and frequently visit. My thoughts… the music was very loud and the service was just okay. The waitress never really checked on us. She took the drink order and food orders and a while in between. The food didn’t take too long to come out. The jerk empanadas were extremely spicy and I’m a spicy lover. The pitcher of the original margarita was really good and did what it was supposed to do. Gratuity was included but I didn’t see it on the electronic device and ended up tipping over the amount they initially added. I didn’t get pictures of all of the food. I’m sure I’ll be back but it wouldn’t be my first choice and I would probably eat before going.

Definitely good spot for $2 Taco Tuesday.
