Blue 42's Brewing Barn

We are from out of town. Should have read the reviews before going….giving it a three stars because of the atmosphere and service. It was empty and the only noise was the tv which was playing a soap opera??? The lady who served us was a little stand offish but did greet us when we left. As for the quality of the drinks, it was about average and expensive for what we got. I won’t be going back but I do hope for more business for their sake.

Coffee Shop 405 Blue 42’s Brewing Barn Tap House & Coffee Moyok, NC September 3, 2024 Twenty miles down the road from Pale Horse Coffee we passed Blue 42’s. We weren’t planning to stop, but I saw “coffee” on the sign and excitedly said, “You should stop the car Chachi I see coffee”. Then my oldest said, “And there’s shaved ice.” My sweet hubby turned the car around. Blue 42’s is next door to a farmer’s market with delicious looking dessert items, fruits, vegetables, snacks and drinks. My kiddos enjoyed the stop. I felt like living on the wild side so I ordered a drink I don’t normally have; a blended ice coffee. Honestly, I think it’s more of a dessert. Modernized open concept, from the former General Store next to Powell’sMarket. So cute, and friendly service! Great coffees, breakfast items served hot from the local Belcross Biscuit place in Camden, homemade baked desserts and breads, craft beers, and more! Stopped in to meet a neighbor around 10 AM, and it was just perfect for grabbing a coffee and breakfast over a long chat. Really cute place - Check it out! This is a very new business, with long family ties and standing close by. It will certainly be a success. Beer, sodas, coffee, baked goods from local bakeries, and homemade fudge are just a few of the offerings. The do sell huge loaves of sourdough bread, as well.
