Blue Rock made our first wedding anniversary an experience we will cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned with care and intention. Head Chef Aaron curated a beautiful five-course menu for us in advance, and every single course was exceptional. The flavors were perfectly balanced, creative, and comforting all at once — each dish flowed seamlessly into the next and left us genuinely impressed. It was one of those meals where you pause, smile, and truly savor every bite. My wife and I have been staying at and eating at Blue Rock for our anniversary weekend for the past several years. It is one of our favorite places on earth. The scenery is gorgeous and relaxing. The food is fantastic, to say the least, and we’ve had only the most hospitable service. Plus, the drinks are inventive and pair well with the warm firepit they will light for you upon request. Also, the rooms are so cozy.||This is not to mention the location. Blue Rock is an easy drive from Shenandoah and wonderful hiking. Wow, outstanding service and exceptional food. We had the carrot salad and the crudo for starters which were the best we have ever had. For dinner we had the eggplant and the fried chicken which didn't disappoint. Lastly the drinks were amazing. We highly recommend this place for a casual or upscale dinning experience. We will be back and loved our time with them!!!

My wife and I have been going to Blue Rock for a few years; it’s one of her favorite places. This year I decided to surprise her for her birthday with a 2-night stay and dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with our experience for the following reasons. We mentioned we were celebrating my wife’s birthday when we arrived for dinner. While we weren’t expecting anything special, we did notice that another table received a dessert with staff singing “Happy Birthday.” It was disappointing that the same hospitality wasn’t extended to us. Later that evening, we asked if the fire pit could be lit while we enjoyed a nightcap. Unfortunately, it was never attended to. I am hesitant to share this amazing place because I want to keep it a hidden gem. Where to start—The food is extraordinary in the pub and restaurant, the rooms are cozy with all the needed amenities and the grounds are perfect for relaxing or exploring. I was there to write and found it to be exactly what I needed. I would be remiss in not mentioning the best part of the experience—the staff. I don’t know everyone’s name who I encountered, but from the front staff, the chef, the bartender, to Ebony (who took an amazing care of me) thank you, thank you! I will be back.
