I have eaten dinner here twice. My wife and I visited as we were passing through the area on our way home from Florida last year. I am in the area again and stopped for dinner tonight. Both times I have been here the food and service has been great! Tonight I had fried oysters, they were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the lemon berry cake for dessert. The maple butter served with the breads is a nice added touch.
Usually the food is great but my husband and I ate at blue stone last night. Friday the 23rd I ordered the salmon baked potato and salad the salmon was over cooked the baked potato was burnt on skin which made the potato inside taste dry and burnt the blue cheese dressing on my salad was runny like watered down with no blue cheese chunks and my hush puppies were dirty and cold . We have eaten here a lot and in past was really good not this time I don’t know if there is a new cook or what happened. My husband ordered steak and oysters and baked potato and asparagus his oysters the breading was soggy and mushy from the steak instead of putting them on the edge on opposite side of steak where the baked potato was the steak was cooked perfect for what he ordered medium but it was full of grizz
Missing a 5th star because they were out of potatoes and totally forgot the substitute greens. The food we did get was served piping hot and was delicious.
This place is a hidden gem! I've lived in the area my whole life and I can't believe I've waited this long to try it. It's the cutest little place that I would describe as rustic charm meets hunting lodge. We visited Tuesday night and it was quite full! I can imagine that this place fills up quickly on the weekends, and for obvious reasons. You're greeted with welcoming smiles as soon as you enter the building. Our waitress was very polite and attentive, ensuring we never had an empty glass and delivered delicious hush puppies and rolls while we waited for our meal. We opted for the fried chicken and hand chopped steak for entrees. For sides we chose beet salad, collard greens, baked potato, and coleslaw. Everything we chose were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And the porti
The food here was amazing. The young host was super friendly and the staff were great. The place was packed, due to their food I'm sure. The ac is broke and the staff was overwhelmed with how busy it was and the heat but they were attentive and very kind. The food and service out weighed the heat.
