Blue Thistle Tea Bar & Cafe

This place is so charming! The owner is absolutely lovely, the tea is delicious, and she steams milk better than of the coffee shops I went to in town!! I wish I lived closer, as I’d come back to the town just for this shop. This is a must-need stop.

First off, the hot chocolate was delish and exactly what I needed on this rainy November afternoon. They don’t only serve tea! I did snag some delish loose leaf tea, a precious tea pot infuser, a matching necklace and bracelet! On top of all that, I was gifted a beautiful handcrafted mug by the owner (it was my 34th birthday). This establishment may be new but it feels like it’s been part of Fredericksburg forever. During our entire trip, we experienced the BEST customer service and the friendliest, most welcoming staff/environment at Blue Thistle Tea Bar. The unique, one of a kind curated merchandise is exactly what you look for while on vacation.

Kris (sp?), the owner, was so kind and knowledgeable! My friends and I did the Blue Thistle Tea Ceremony and it I was the best black tea I have ever had! We learned about how this is something she would do on a weekly basis with her family and the tea we had was a special family blend. It was sweetened with rock sugar and cream on top. We also had pastries and dried food to accompany it. The price is also extremely fair! Loved the tea, playlist, conversation, and of course, the tea! Can’t wait to come back!

Met the amazing Tea Sommelier, Chris at Blue Thistle in Fredericksburg. She guided us through new blends and brews, and the pomegranate infusion with a touch of sweetener was absolutely outstanding. She even made a chai latte for us on request (her first time!) and it turned out perfect. If you’re in Fredericksburg, do visit — it’s the perfect break from all the wine and beer tastings. It’s such a lovely spot for tea lovers - you can smell the most beautiful tea leaves and blends, explore essential oils, crystals, and candles, and enjoy the cozy, welcoming vibe Chris brings to the place. A truly delightful experience.

Cutest little tea shop that just happened to open recently. They have build-your-own terrariums and reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cozy and building a terrarium was a blast! Glad to be its first terrarium build. The tea, coffee, and pastries were the perfect mid-morning pick me up! Kristen set us up for a great morning in Fredericksburg!
