Blue Tree Cafe Vegan Soul Food

Tried this place for lunch today. I was super excited because it's rare to find a vegan soul food restaurant. We were greeted by the owner despite them moving to an online order only format. She is super sweet. She definitely makes everything from scratch and with love. I had the crispy oyster mushrooms with collard greens, cornbread, and mac and cheese and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I especially enjoyed the super crunchy texture of the mushrooms and the collard greens were so flavorful. The mac and cheese and cornbread were delicious as well but the macaroni was a bit overcooked for me and the cornbread needed some seasoning. I have never tasted Collar Greens cooked without meat. Three weeks ago I decided to try vegan collar greens, blackeye peas, cornbread, and sweet potato pie. I was shocked how delicious everything I order tasted. I also tried the Cabbage and it was seasoned good and delicious. I give Blue Tree Cafe Vegan Soul food a 5 start ***** I had to cut out food that's high in saturated fat and cholesterol, which means go vegan or vegetarian. Mrs. Sharon the cook knows how to throw down on cooking vegan soul food and she has catered my dinner menu for the past two weeks. Thanks Mrs. Sharon for helping me manage my cholesterol.

The best soul food we've yet to have. We tried and loved the mac n' cheese, candied yams (best ever ever), chickpea curry, collard greens, sweet potato pie. We enjoyed our meal so much here that we decided to cater a dinner for one of our group trips with Sharon's awesome cooking. Everybody loved it! And they are doing great things in their community with their nonprofit as well. Vegans and non vegans in our group loved the food!

This place was so good! You could tell everything was prepared, freshly and with a lot of love. It was also so cute how it was family owned, and how they all interacted with each other was really heartwarming! Would highly recommend.
