Bob Evans - Port Charlotte

Bob Evans may be a national chain, but to me this local Port Charlotte Mall location is a small business. I feel like I’m back up north at a diner each visit. I see the same staffers working hard day in and day out. Snowboard season is not in effect yet so it’s slow please go in and support your local business. The staff is awesome. Walk in get greeted by the super friendly kind Hailey who greets you like family. Another Hailey who runs around the place with great energy and has Kind heart is a great waitress. Day manager Tony super kind and genuinely friendly to all.Food is great. Love their breakfast !! Restaurant opened from 7 AM till 9 PM daily go in and check them out and support them. They are awesome with a great staff who all care. A Port Charlotte gem !!

First time to bob Evans in over 10 years. We are down from Indiana for first snowbird trip. Great service, food was solid good good good. bacon good, pancakes good, egges over easy perfect. coffee ok, just standard. hash browns excellent. all better than cracker barrel which is where we have been eating for 10 years. we are done with cracker barrel. Restaurant was clean and tables were clean. Lots of light from windows and everyone was friendly and clean and COMPETENT. We are still in shock really as we are getting used to incompetent employees at restaurants. Well done Bob Evans.

We like the part where you can choose from. An assortment of items, 2 items, and they're good choices. I forget the name of it. We also enjoy meals there with our friends and we could hear each other communicate at the table across from each other. In other words , the restaurant wasn't so noisy that we couldn't visit and have a nice time with friends. Instead , we could visit and have a nice time.

Update: I just cut into the pumpkin bread… omggg so soft and moist, no over powering spices, made just right! Perfect with your coffee!!! I don’t know where you can find breakfast for $5.99 anywhere again, but I found it here and it was absolutely delicious! I had their mini plate sampler since I’m a little eater. It’s been a minute since I’ve been to Bob Evan’s, and I just had to come here for their pumpkin loaf and breakfast. They also sell an amazing chicken noodle soup made from scratch ( the homemade noddles is out of this world and I get it in a pint size to go). Everything on my plate accompanied by bottomless freshly brewed coffee was under $10. Their biscuits are pillowy and accompanied by whipped butter and jelly. I ordered the “Country Farm Steak and Farm Fresh Eggs” meal from Bob Evans through DoorDash. When I received it, both the steak and the potatoes had a strong bitter taste — almost like they were burnt or cooked in old oil. It made the meal hard to eat and disappointing. If I could give Zero stars I would. I hope it was not rotten or too old and don’t give me food poisoning
