CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Our receipt amount and our expected charge for our order didn’t match, like a $6 difference. I had to repeat “Just the burger, not the meal please” like twice before he corrected it when ordering, so I just went back up and asked if he could please walk me through what our charges were… $2.99 up charge for large, plus $.50 for fry sauce (FRY SAUCE NOT INCLUDED WITH FRIES!!!), but even after adding the extra charges the amount didn’t add up. Even after I added the amounts and tax and tip. I showed him as I added it up on the calculator, he just gave a guttural noise and pointedly ignored my inquiry and left me standing at the counter. Bob's Burgers was decent! I had tried them when they first opened years ago, but I don't remember the experience. My partner and I had Bob's Burgers before seeing a movie at the mall on a Wednesday. There was only one lady there working. She was very kind and friendly, not standoffish at all. She got our order correct, which is kind of a big deal because I'm picky and take a lot of stuff off. I will say my only complaint is that after our payment was collected she went back to make our food and only put a glove on one hand. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and added bacon but removed all the veg, except for the mushrooms, and asked for no sauce. They make some sort of house sauce they put on their burgers. The burger was good, and the bacon was awesome! I was a little thrown off that

Update 5/29/24: Tried the chicken sandwich today for the first time. Wish I would have sooner! Definitely worth adding cheese in my opinion. Still the best and tastiest bargain in the mall. Thank you so much ! * * * * * * * By far the best place to eat in The Newgate Mall! The food is fresh and tasty. The best bargain, truly bang for the buck. The chicken nuggets, even though it's for kids -- 10/10 I can't get over how delicious they are. The staff is genuine, happy and superb at their jobs!! Super grateful for this place , wish they'd open back at the Layton hills mall.

Fairly decent place with tasty food, although it took a really long time to get our food. It seemed there was just one guy running the whole kitchen and a little gal out front manning the counter. My wife loves this place from her college days and we stopped in to introduce myself to it and allow her to reminisce. I found the bacon cheese burger a little dry, but tasty. The bacon was very crispy and delicious. I found the fries a little over done and hard, but as I ate these crinkle cut fries, I began to enjoy their durability. It was a good tasting meal, but it did not live up to the hype my wife had given nor did it overly impress me. I would eat here again though.

Their burger is easily as good as any gourmet burgers joint in the area. Probably better. No foofoo lettuce on this thing...just iceberg. It was fantastic. Wavy fries were cooked perfectly. Fry sauce is yummy and unique. I want the recipe. Now the warning: times have changed. Probably all of us know that. This meal (pictured) was over $17. Soda refills are $.99. I think I paid extra for the fry sauce, but I don't care. If you can get on board with that, you will really enjoy this place. Server was friendly and courteous. Cook, possibly owner, was nice to talk with. With all the restaurants disappearing in the mall, I'm glad Bob's Burgers has been able to stick around.
